Milly gains more athletic success
January 10, 2017
Talented athlete 13 year old Milly Gall is presently ranked 2nd in Great Britain in her age group having won the South of England Indoor Hurdles finals last weekend. She now has the qualifying standards for four events at the English Indoor Individual Events Championships in Sheffield next month; Hurdles, 200m, Long Jump and High Jump but will only compete in the Hurdles and Long Jump. In March Milly can also look forward to competing in the English Indoor Pentathlon Championships, again in Sheffield.
In September Milly competed in the English schools’ Pentathlon National finals in Exeter. She had previously won the Hertfordshire Schools’ Pentathlon, then went on to qualify at the regional event with the amount of points she got compared to others across the country. The top 45 girls of her age group in the country qualified for the National finals in Exeter. She came 14th in the Under 15 age group although she was competing in a year above her age; she had the highest points score of girls her actual age.
In December Milly came 2nd in the South of England Indoor Pentathlon Championships which currently ranks her 3rd in Great Britain for her age group.
It looks as though Milly is on course for great things in her athletics future, we wish her every success.
