Prestigious Philosophy Award

June 28, 2019

Congratulations to Kieran Spellward who received a Highly Commended certificate in the Philosophy Category of the New College of the Humanities Essay competition for 2019, putting him in a small group of students who had been chosen out of a field of 4,000 entries across all the categories.

Kieran also received an Award Prize, was given a tour of the College and was able to meet well known philosopher Professor A C Grayling, the Master of NCH, for a one to one talk. Kieran questioned Professor Grayling on the nature of political corruption and his views about the policy of Appeasement prior to World War 2. This was not only interesting, but useful, with links to History coursework and the EPQ award, part of the academic programme at Aldenham.
