GCSE

We offer students the chance to take a range of GCSE and iGCSE courses which are appropriate to their skills and abilities.

All students follow a core programme of study which involves work in English Language and Literature, Science (taught as three separate sciences, leading to a double or triple GCSE award), Mathematics, and non-examined Physical Education. Classes are set in the core subjects allowing different paces of work to be set appropriately. In addition, students choose up to four subjects from History, Geography, Philosophy Religion and Ethics (PRE), Music, Art, Design Technology, PE, Drama, French, Spanish, Computer Science, Latin and Classical Civilisation. Any Coursework is carefully guided and supported by subject specialists. Course details for GCSE subjects are detailed in the Guide to Courses, available below. At the end of the GCSE years over 80% of students proceed to the Aldenham Sixth Form.
