A Knock Out Under 12 Cricket Festival
June 20, 2018
Seven visiting teams from local Prep Schools joined an Aldenham side for an excellent day of cricket at the 23rd annual Aldenham U12s Cricket Festival. It was fantastic to see so many young cricketers scoring runs, taking wickets and having fun. Perfect weather conditions ensured that pupils and staff along with parents and friends were able to enjoy a relaxing day’s cricket as all players played five 10 Over matches throughout the day.
In a competitive and fun tournament The Beacon beat St Martin’s to emerge victorious once more following their win last year and so clinch the Trophy. Westbrook Hay walked away with the shield having beaten St John’s into runner-up place. The Cup winners, Edge Grove, left Aldenham as runners up, whilst in the Plate Final Davenies beat Radlett Prep. The leading run scorer and wicket takers Charlie and Ryan, were both in The Beacon team.
A brilliant celebration of cricket!
