Through to the Regional Finals of the British Schools Karting Championship

February 26, 2016

On Tuesday 23rd February 2016 three students from year 11, Luc Oliver, Archie Hudson-Rawlings and Will Judge won their Semi Final karting race competition to qualify for the Regional Finals for this year’s British Schools Karting Championship.

The boys begun test driving at the start of February and during half term to get themselves prepared for the actual event against three teams from one other school. There were a few incidents to avoid throughout the evening but our boys used their driving skills to keep the opposition at bay. As a result of Luc, Archie and Will’s clean lines, excellent concentration skills and quick-thinking driving manoeuvers, Aldenham proved to be the better team with a majority two wins, two seconds, a third and a fourth place.

These positions sealed our qualification to compete against 22 national school racing teams in the Regional Finals to be held on Saturday 7th May at Buckmore Park in Kent. Our boys proved to be the better drivers in the end, we wish them well through the Regionals and onto the National Finals in July.
