Visitation Day 2015
June 29, 2015
Despite the stormy clouds gathering at the end of the afternoon the 1,200+ guests, parents, students and staff attending Visitation Day were able to enjoy a wonderful celebration of the senior school with a busy programme of activities and displays at our annual prize-giving.
Following the usual chapel service and the distribution of prizes and addresses by the Guest of Honour, Mr James Arkell, Master of the Worshipful Company of Brewers, the Headmaster paid tribute to Mr Stewart Lewis who retires as Chair of Governors after 8 years and wished well to the staff who will be leaving the school, in particular Mr Nick Pulman after 38 years.
Guests then retired to Top Field to enjoy picnics whilst a 1st XI vs OA Select XI cricket match was being played. This was followed by various activities including live music, an enjoyable Drama production in the School Theatre and an exceptional Art Exhibition. The busy day was rounded off with the customary Tug of War followed by afternoon tea before guests departed just as the heavens opened.
