Young Actor in the Making
September 27, 2015
Year 9 pupil Frederick Neilson has a great love of the theatre and everything about it; one of the reasons he joined Aldenham was because of our strong drama department explained his mother. Fred’s first professional job was in a UK tour of A Christmas Carol performing all over the country, from there he went on to perform in The Low Road at the Royal Court and then a Richard Eyre production of Liola at the National Theatre. This was followed by a year in Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace and until October he can be seen at The Globe in Richard II playing the young Richard.
Fred has been so busy with his outside theatre commitments that he has so far been unable to take part in any of the school productions but is looking forward to doing more at school when his current run comes to an end. We look forward to seeing him step onto the Aldenham stage in the near future.
In the meantime Fred is looking forward to singing with the Kennedy’s boys at the House Music competition next month and to getting involved in the Dance Show next term.

It’s a Jungle Book at Aldenham
Enthusiastic audiences were thrilled at the immersive performance of Aldenham’s production of The Jungle Book. Our play was set in a world of lace fabric, gothic tombstones and flickering memories and aimed to question what it means to be different. It also aimed to consider how this changes us and who our family really are; […]
