Aldenham School triumph at the Watford Festival of Speech & Drama
March 21, 2016
Aldenham pupils were thrilled to win all the trophies that they competed in the finale concert at the Watford Speech and Drama Festival which is one of the largest festivals of its kind in Europe: Viola Alishah and Muskaan Iqbal for Junior Duo Acting; Ethan Hayes for Mime; Will Judge and Azaan Iqbal for Senior Duo Acting; Azaan Iqbal for Senior Solo Acting.
To top it all Azaan also got the top award, the Navapurka Senior Shield, for the most outstanding performance of the whole Festival for his performance of Frankenstein’s Creature – the first time an Aldenham student has won this.
Our Prep School pupils also celebrated receiving three Drama Shields by winning all the junior group sections of the Festival as well as two Drama Trophies for Acting and Mime.
It was indeed an excellent achievement by all our students.
