Year 10 IGD Work Experience

Year 10 students visited the Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD) for an eye‑opening insight day into the food industry.

Students explored the huge range of careers behind everyday products — from sustainability and logistics to marketing, health, distribution and global supply chains. They also designed and pitched their own snack products, supported by IGD professionals.

Discussions around global events, sustainability and transferable skills helped students understand the complexity and importance of the food sector. Many left surprised by the breadth of roles available, especially in health and sustainability.

Over 130 students attended our Sports Spotlight Careers Event, exploring careers across the sports industry.
