Informal Concert well attended
January 26, 2018
The Informal Concert featured mainly solo items from performers ranging from Year 7 to Year 12. There were a couple of debut performances from students who have been learning for a very short time; Zehra Kazmi (clarinet) and Rishi Kavia (French horn), to appearances from some of our more seasoned students. As well as instrumental items the voice was well represented by Jonathan Wilson, Emilie Geissmar-Wagstaff and Sophie Katsiavriades, and, as has become customary, we were treated to a high standard of piano playing, from the delicacy of Edie Sunman’s Bach to Atahan Diamond’s dynamic performance of Rachmaninov’s mighty prelude in C sharp minor.
On the evening of Thursday 22 February our best pianists will be put through their paces by the rising international star Mark Viner.

Informal Concert
The music department presented an informal concert offering a lot of the juniors a chance to perform for the first time this year, with a few older students also performing to provide inspiration. It was wonderful to see a lot of upcoming talent to watch out for in the future.
