Junior Ski Trip to Austria
February 19, 2018
At 4.30am on 9 February, 43 students from Year 7 to Year 10 met to fly to Austria for a fantastic week of skiing. The snow didn’t disappoint and conditions were perfect. There was a variety of experienced and total beginner skiers but by the end of the week, all the pupils were skiing really well and had smiles on their faces. The advanced group must have skied hundreds of miles in six days!
On the last day all the students participated in a slalom race with George Steyne being crowned the winner. Everyone was given a photo and a t-shirt to remember the trip. In the evenings they took part in swimming, ice skating, trampolining, a quiz held by Mr Hoskins as well as going to watch a professional ice hockey match. All pupils were fantastic but the stand out student was Seb Peries for his constant smiling and positivity.
Next year’s trip to Italy is bound to be another popular one – the advice is to book early to avoid disappointment!

Paintballing
Year 12 Riding’s girls enjoyed a post-exams tutor group trip to Delta Force Paintball. None of the students had been paintballing before and they all showed great courage and teamwork in the arena.
