Organ concert to be held at Aldenham
May 18, 2018
On Thursday 7th June at 7.00pm, Samuel Austin, Assistant Director of Music, will be giving a concert of organ music by JS Bach at Aldenham School Chapel. This is a wonderful opportunity for music lovers to join us for a free concert which will last for an hour. The concert will feature JS Bach’s finest works including the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565.
Parking is in the Prep School car park, and access to the chapel is gained by walking up the hill and crossing the zebra crossing. This is a rare opportunity to hear our fine 3-manual Grant Degens and Bradbeer organ in concert. Originally a House organ, the instrument was transferred to Aldenham in 1975 when the original owner relocated due to noise from the flight path to Heathrow airport.
