Aldenham Pupils excel at the Watford Festival
March 29, 2019
Pupils from Aldenham Prep and Aldenham Senior School have maintained their run of success at the Watford Festival of Speech and Drama having gained more major awards from this year’s competition. No fewer than 10 top awards in Acting, Prose Reading, Verse and Mime went to Aldenham pupils from Years 4 to 12. One of our 10 year olds even won the overall Festival achievement shield for her mature and moving poetry.
Aldenham pupils compete every year in this event and have achieved these top results year after year. Some pupils go on to take part in the North London Festival in Whetstone in May. This year 18 eleven year old boys and girls are also entered in a Public Speaking competition as well as the Acting, Prose Reading, Verse and Mime disciplines. Our record at this event is also extremely competitive with wins in every Drama category last year.
