Public Speaking Competition at Aldenham voted a Success

The annual Public Speaking competition was at its all-time best this year! Speaking on the topic of ‘democracy’, each of the six senior Houses presented outstanding speeches and held up well under the pressure of intense questioning from our guest judge, Mr Frank Partridge. Mr Partridge is a former BBC and Sky journalist and presenter for many years. He was recently appointed to the role of media trainer to prepare the Head of MI5 to be able to speak publicly about the service and its work. 

Having scrutinised each speech, he judged the content, delivery and quality of answers from each House team. Whilst it was widely agreed that every House was exceptional this year, the overall winners were Beevor’s House. Well done to Miles Mcleod and Abbasali Merali who represented Beevor’s and to all the other teams who took part.
