Another Winner for the John Locke Essay Competition

Congratulations to Kush Thakrar who has been shortlisted for the 2019 John Locke Institute Essay Prize. Last year’s Head Boy, Michael Li, was also awarded a commendation in 2018 which shows a good record for Aldenham.

Kush’s essay was one of 885 high quality entries from 86 countries, which is high praise indeed. The professors remarked that his was one that would not have been out of place coming from an Oxford undergraduate and is a great credit to him.

The Institute will again be running short courses for gap year students in Oxford, Princeton, Boston and Washington DC which may be of interest to some of the finalists.
