A Level Artists are Inspired by Trip to Paris
March 2, 2020
In late February A Level Art students spent four days in Paris gathering contextual and thematic references for the development of their coursework and exam unit projects. The Year 12 and 13 students visited cultural staples such as the Pompidou Centre, Musee d’Orsay, Musee du quai Branly and the Musee d’Art Moderne, as well as the contemporary L’Atelier des Lumieres for a spectacular immersive experience. They also enjoyed some time visiting tourist attractions, exploring the Catacombs, visiting Notre Dame and ascending to the top floor of the Eiffel Tower. Overall, a successful and enjoyable trip which will continue to inform students’ creative pursuits for years to come.
