Another Memorable Sixth Form Dinner

September 25, 2017

A wonderful Sixth Form Dinner with 140 students, staff and guests. In keeping with the theme for the evening: the Battle of Waterloo guests enjoyed a superb three course meal which centred around a delicious Beef Wellington.

“The dining hall looked utterly resplendent, decked head-to-toe in flags, flowers and war memorabilia. We were also delighted to hear some excellent speeches: first, the School Principal Mr Andy Williams entertained us with some (slightly cheesy) jokes; next, we heard some sage advice and interesting stories from our witty guest speaker, Mr Alan Lambert; finally, our Head Girl and Head Boy (Phoebe Altman and Ted Richardson-Wells) put on a superb double act and gave thanks to their teachers, their peers and the other guests for creating a memorable evening for all. To conclude the evening’s festivities, the Headmaster Mr James Fowler wished us all well as we left to enjoy a well-earned Exeat weekend.

“I would like to extend my thanks to everyone present for putting on such a fantastic event. It was my first Aldenham Sixth Form Dinner, and it lived up to its substantial reputation. The evening would not have been possible without the dedication, commitment and creative flair of the inimitable Mr Paul Spencer – to him, we owe the greatest thanks of all.”
