Dance and You’ll be Happy!
March 27, 2017
A spectacular Dance Show delighted three full houses over the three performances and put smiles on lots of faces.

The dance styles were as varied as the costumes and included tap, ballet, contemporary, street, musical theatre and commercial. 60 girls and boys from Years 7-13 performed in the show. The majority of dancers only dance in school and they worked incredibly hard, giving up a number of weekends to prepare for the show. The standard they achieved was very high for school-only trained dancers.

The quality of the choreography, the athleticism and skill of the dancers, and the professionalism of the production was top class. The dances were mainly choreographed by Louise Gall, Kate Harrison and Jemima Loddy with the tap dances choreographed by Eloise Markham. There were also some excellent dances choreographed by the pupils.

Some pupils were dancing on stage for the very first time so quite an achievement for them and there were others for whom it was their last Dance Show having been in the show since they were in Year 7.

Well done to all the performers for such an impressive production!
