Creative Careers Brought to Life 

Across December and January, Year 8 and 9 students visited Sky Studios for an inspiring workplace encounter at the Sky Up Academy. 

Students learned how films are created, the scale of teamwork involved, and the size of the Sky Studios complex. They stepped into real production roles — directing, editing, acting and costume styling — to create their own short film pitch, which they later watched and shared with family and friends. 

Highlights included sitting in the original Jurassic Park jeep and seeing genuine props from Wicked. A brilliant experience that opened students’ eyes to the many creative and technical careers in media.
