Watford Festival Winners’ Concert for Charity
March 22, 2018
Following the success of the first Watford Festival Showcase last year, Year 12 students Adam and Megan decided to repeat the event, strengthening the links between Aldenham Prep and Senior Schools. It was a fantastic evening filled with a wide range of performances, showcasing the numerous successes of the school at the recent Watford Festival. This Festival is one of the largest and most respected in the UK. So far Aldenham students have secured 3 group winning trophies and the overall Group Redhead Trophy, plus a fantastic 16 wins, 9 Gold winners and 82 other awards. All of the winners will now compete for overall trophies in the finals later this month.
Mr Williams and Mrs Gocher both spoke after the event about how impressed they were by the confidence of each of the performers, made particularly poignant by the fact that every Senior School performer had also attended Aldenham Prep School. The event raised over £1,000 for Ripple Africa, and students are already looking forward to next year’s fundraiser.
