Thanksgiving Service for a Distinguished Old Aldenhamian

March 29, 2019

Aldenham was well represented at a Thanksgiving Service held at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey for the life of Field Marshal The Lord Vincent of Coleshill. Dick Vincent, who attended Aldenham in 1945-50 and was in School House Evens, will long be remembered for the support he gave his old school and his contribution as a Governor for many years.

This national occasion celebrated the life of a family man of immense charm and modesty who rose to be the most senior officer in the British Army and a member of the House of Lords. His portrait hangs in our Dining Hall as one of the most distinguished of all OAs, and will continue to do so for future generations.
