The Aldenham Dance Show 2018

The Dance Show finished its run in the theatre performing to a full house last night. Over forty pupils from Years 7-13 performed in a variety of dance genres including contemporary, tap, musical theatre, commercial jazz and street.

Mrs Gall produces the show and choreographs a number of dances but the pupils are also very lucky to have the expertise of Kate Harrison, Jemima Loddy and Lauren Cattell teaching them.

The Year 13 girls have performed in the Dance Show every year since they were in Year 7 and it was a fitting end that they danced their leavers’ dance to ‘I’ve had the time of my life’ as on stage it certainly looked like they had.

Paint Pouring
In this engaging Art lesson, pupils explored paint pouring, experimenting with colour, movement and chance. By layering and tilting fluid paints, they created unique marbled effects, building confidence and creativity. Each finished piece is a striking reflection of individuality and expressive, contemporary art techniques.
